The great news! A new ambitious crypto exchange XGo listed Arbitrum (ARB) following the recent ARB airdrop. XGo added an ARB/USDT pair for spot trading. The ARB withdrawals will be opened on March 27, 2023, at 5 PM (UTC).
What Is Arbitrum (ARB)?
Arbitrum is a blockchain aimed at solving the Ethereum scalability issues so that Ethereum users save money via lower transaction fees. Arbitrum is a sidechain, so it is attributed to a Layer 2 solution and is based on roll-up technology. Ethereum doesn't have to verify these transactions as Arbitrum operates off-chain transactions decreasing the Ethereum blockchain's load. It minimizes both the fees and the transaction processing time.
People have been talking about the Ethereum scalability issues for years, but the problem persists. Instead of "killing" Ethereum (like many Ethereum clones aimed at repeating its good qualities and avoiding its pitfalls), Arbitrum offered medicine for its disease. No wonder the effective solution introduced by Atbitrum turned heads, and the project started booming.
Enhanced with Arbitrum, Ethereum becomes a more comfortable platform for building scalable, quick, and cheap in use apps on top. Apart from regular transactions, Arbitrum's sidechain can execute smart contracts. It means that all the smart contracts-related operations get cheap and fast, improving the overall performance of the DeFi platforms, NFT markets, etc. The long-promised benefits of Ethereum can finally be embodied.
More than that, Arbitrum is compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). So, the developers using Solidity will be able to write software that can run on Ethereum using Arbitrum. Apps built for Ethereum and Arbitrum can migrate between the two blockchains. On top of all these benefits, Atrbitrum has a simple and clear interface. We shouldn't underestimate that.
The eponymous base currency of the Arbitrum blockchain (ARB) has been prominent in the perpetual trading phase, propelling the crypto to a broad audience of eager investors. The March airdrop became the second strong driver behind the ARB's success. March 23, 2023, is the day when the coin went live.
