ION will then release the Ice Mainnet dApp – its proprietary decentralized social media application, which supports a wide variety of content formats and sharing options, and features an in-built wallet and fully encrypted chat. The dApp is conceived as a hub for ION’s 40-million community and as a showcase of the ION framework’s capabilities. 

A no-code, drag-and-drop dApp-building tool is ION’s next step. Similarly to what WordPress did for websites, it will allow anyone, regardless of tech expertise, to deploy the ION framework and easily create their own cross-platform dApps for almost any purpose. With this, ION is poised to considerably expand its ecosystem and set itself up to fulfil its mission of onboarding billions of users to Web3 and its principles of censorship resistance, data ownership, and full user autonomy.
