Dogecoin (DOGE)

By Cryptogeek | 04 Sep

Dogecoin (DOGE) was founded in the US in 2013 as a joke but quickly gained a large following. It became a popular cryptocurrency (DOGE) used for tipping the content creators (mainly on Reddit and Telegram). As the creators had no serious plans for their currency they didn't elaborate a roadmap and were not working on the improvement of their project too much. The founder of Dogecoin Jackson Palmer left the project in 2015. According to some observers, the main reason why Dogecoin managed to keep its position on the market is a dedicated and friendly community. They not only keep on using Dogecoin but continue its development. Among vivid examples are DogePal (the payment system that allows its users to pay each other in DOGE via email service) and the Dogethereum bridge (a system that helps moving Dogecoin to Ethereum and back). Dogecoin network has low fees and big mining rewards. This cryptocurrency is presented on most of the biggest cryptocurrency exchanges.
