Fees
If we speak about trading fees, KuCoin is a better choice. Both exchanges offer fee discounts for holders of specific amounts of specific coins, but the starting level of commissions is not the same. On KuCoin, you start by paying 0.1% per transaction. On CoinEx, you are charged a 0.2% fee per trade. KuCoin's fee level is one of the best in the industry.

Security

In 2020, $280 million worth of BTC and ETH was stolen from the exchange's hot wallets. Somehow, the hacker(s) obtained the private keys from these wallets. This incident seriously harms the trustworthiness of the KuCoin exchange.
