Agatepay (at times stylized as AgatePay) is a project ran by the Australian company Genesis Fintech Pty Ltd. The goal of the company is to provide the EFTPOS (Electronic funds transfer at point of sale) solutions with competitive fees and with respect to the individual needs of the customers. Moreover, Agatepay terminals will be provided with native Point of Sale software to make it easier for the customers to use their terminals.
In contrast to other companies providing EFTPOS systems, Agatepay is using the blockchain AGATE to make the transactions instant and cheap. Besides terminals, the company offers free lifetime software, zero fees for new companies, and free business insights algorithms.
The list of payment methods includes Visa, Mastercard, American Express, UnionPay, WeChat Pay, Google Pay, Apple Pay, and several others.
The ICO was finished in September of 2019.
