What Is an Enjin Wallet?

Enjin Wallet is a hot wallet mobile app developed by the Enjin Coin team. Both coin and wallet are the products of Singaporean company Enjin Pte. Ltd. Enjin aims to connect decentralized digital finance with the online gaming sector. Currently, the Enjin gaming platform boasts millions of daily users. You can use the Enjin wallet to store Bitcoin, Litecoin, Enjin Coin, all Ethereum-based tokens, and NFTs. The wallet is customizable and easy to use. One of the nice features is that you can move your portfolio from the other wallet/wallets to an Enjin wallet. You can set fees to change the transaction speed.

NFTs stored on Enjin can be traded via the Enjin Marketplace. The wallet interface allows you to use DeFi platforms and interact with dApps. Unlike many other multi-purpose wallets, Enjin doesn't have buy/sell features (except for NFT trading). Swapping is in the place, though.

Hackers frequently target hot wallets, so Enjin developers work hard to make their products as secure as possible. Among the protection measures, we can highlight an Enjin secure keyboard providing bi-directional encryption on your mobile device. Enjin wallet is compatible with hardware wallets Trezor and Ledger. Using Enjin with hardware wallets ensures maximum security. RAM, user information, and 2-factor authentication data are also encrypted.

What Is MetaMask?

MetaMask is a multi-currency crypto wallet launched in 2016. Initially, it was a browser extension, but the developers released MetaMask for mobile devices at some point. On top of Ethereum-based tokens, MetaMask supports BNB Chain tokens, NFTs, test chain tokens, in-game tokens, and collectibles. The serious drawback is that MetaMask doesn't support Bitcoin.

MetaMask is a non-custodial wallet. The greatest threat to users' funds is malware and phishing. MetaMask is an HD wallet, meaning you can use a unique wallet address for every transaction. It helps to increase the privacy of your cryptocurrency use. The additional features include staking and token swapping.

Enjin vs. MetaMask (details)

Platforms

MetaMask supports more platforms than Enjin as the latter doesn't have a browser extension version, while both brands offer mobile apps.

Types of transactions

MetaMask provides richer functionality. It makes MetaMask a versatile platform that can be used for trading and earning through staking. More than that, MetaMask can be used as a crypto gateway. Enjin wallet is not suitable for that.

Transaction fees

Both wallets don't collect anything on top of miner fees. MetaMask and Enjin allow their users to adjust commissions to influence the transaction speed. That's a nice feature making the use of cryptocurrencies much more comfortable.

Supported currencies

MetaMask and Enjin support hundreds of tokens which is a great thing, but let's be honest, the lack of Bitcoin is a severe issue for MetaMask. An Enjin Wallet generally provides a more accessible selection of supported assets.

Security features

Both wallets are pretty safe to use. However, it is evident that the Enjin Wallet provides a more secure experience than MetaMask.

Payment methods

MetaMask is much more comfortable for users who don't have cryptocurrencies or want to exchange some fiat money for cryptocurrencies quickly.

Extra features

Both wallets are versatile and provide users with multiple extra features. However, these features differ in purpose. MetaMask gives more space for earning money through staking, swapping, NFTs functionality, etc. Enjin is not as good as MetaMask for those who want to make money via the wallet, but it provides an opportunity to use dApps right from the wallet. MetaMask connects users with dApps, too.

Access

These wallets can be used globally, and that's how crypto apps should exist.
